| Show Rules |
| 1) All work must be the artist’s own original, creative work and must be presented in a finished manner. Work that is mass produced or purchased from other artists may not be sold. |
| 2) The show committee reserves the right to refuse exhibition of work not consistent with juried materials. |
| 3) Artists must be present for the entire show and must remain set up until the close of the show at 5:00pm. |
| 4) Artists are not permitted to change space assignments. See the show director if there is a problem. |
| 5) No artists’ vehicles are allowed in the loading/unloading areas until after the show closes at 5:00pm. |
| Entry Deadline |
| Entries must be postmarked by May 15, 2012. Notification of acceptance will be sent by May 31, 2012. |
| Booth Information |
| Standard booth space is 10’ wide x 12’ deep with 2’ walk-around area. Artists provide their own complete displays, including any tables or chairs. A canopy is recommended. Two artists may share a booth, providing they have made arrangements in advance, and each is juried into the show. Each artist must submit an application with images to be juried, unless all work is done collaboratively. All artists sharing a booth must sign the application. |
| Fees |
| Each entry must be accompanied by a completed application, images, a $10 nonrefundable jury fee made payable to Rockford Art Guild, and an appropriately sized S.A.S.E. for return of submissions. The booth fee is $90 for Rockford Art Guild members, $120 for non-members. Artists sharing a booth are each responsible for their own booth fees. All fees are due by June 30, 2012. Do NOT send booth fees with application. |
| Awards |
| The Rockford Artists Fair is professionally judged. A total of five cash prizes will be awarded: best of show; best of class–fine art, fine art merit award; best of class–fine craft, fine craft merit award. Amounts TBA. |
| Set-up |
| Check-in/setup begins at 6:30am on the day of the show. Artists must be checked in by 9:00am. Artists may begin setting up on Friday, September 14, after 2pm. Overnight security is provided, however, Rockford Art Guild and the Rockford Artists’ Fair are not responsible for loss or damage to any property left unattended. |
